A brief introduction to the Kingsland Quartet members

Billy King - baritone/manager

I began singing at a very early age around the piano with my mother playing. My brothers, Bobby, Jimmy, and I started the Melody Boys Quartet when I was just 12 years old. I really enjoy singing for Jesus and His glory. I am very blessed to have the Kingsland Quartet and hope you come out to worship with us when we are in your area.
Todd McLain - lead

I was raised around Southern Gospel Music all my life. My Dad has had over 400 Gospel songs published, with some on the Singing News Top 40. I started singing quartet style at the age of 17. I received a call from The Kingsland Quartet and am very excited about this opportunity. I have a wonderful family, and my wife Tina is my biggest cheerleader. Remember The Kingsland Quartet and my family in your prayers and I look forward to seeing everyone at our next concert.
Eddie Gibbs - tenor

I grew up with a singing family. I learned to play the guitar at the age of 14 and began singing  and playing music with The Gibbs Family at 16. After singing bass for 3 or 4 years, (a bass singer I'm not!), my dad made some changes in the group by switching me over to the high tenor part, and I am still a tenor to this day. After 18 years with the family group, I decided to form my own trio, Christian Crossing, which lasted several years. After taking a break from singing for about 5 years, I was contacted by the late, Jerry Holman to sing with the Joymen Quartet. I left the Joymen in 2010 and got the call from Billy in 2011 to try out for the Kingsland Quartet. The rest they say is history. I love singing! I love being on stage singing my heart out to people about what Jesus has done for me. He saved my soul at the age of 12, and I just can't thank him or ever do enough to repay the price he paid on Calvary for me. Please remember my family and this quartet in your prayers every day.

God bless America!

Mike Blackwood - bass

I started singing at the age of 17 with the area FFA Quartet. I sang with several local groups for the next few years. After being out of gospel music for 25 years, I started back singing with the Kingsland Quartet. I am very blessed to be singing with a great group of christian men, and am very thankful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for giving me this opportunity. I am also blessed to have a wonderful family, my wife Vaneesa, our four beautiful girls, and one grandchild.

God is good!
